At Northbridge International School, sport is an essential part of developing confident, balanced and principled learners across the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Our holistic sports programme ensures every student has the opportunity to participate, grow and experience success, while also providing clear pathways for those aspiring to perform at a competitive level.
We are committed to excellence in every area. While our teams compete with ambition and determination, our approach to school sport is grounded in the core values that define the Northbridge experience: resilience, camaraderie, sportsmanship and integrity. These attributes empower students to thrive not only as athletes, but as lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.
“This year has been a remarkable one for NISC, defined by achievement, growth, and a strong sense of community. Our students have continued to challenge themselves, support one another, and represent the school with pride both on and off campus. The Athletics Awards were a fitting celebration of our student-athletes' dedication and success, while also reflecting the culture of excellence, commitment, and perseverance that runs throughout our school. We are incredibly proud of all our students have accomplished this year and look forward to building on that success in the years ahead.”
— Andy Dean, Athletics Director
Competitive School Sport and International Opportunities
Northbridge is a proud member of the PPAC8 Schools League, offering competitive opportunities in basketball, volleyball, football, swimming, badminton, cross-country and track and field. To maximise participation and development, we field both A and B teams across all major competitions, alongside a robust schedule of friendly fixtures designed to build confidence, teamwork and skill progression.
For students competing at an advanced level, our A teams participate in the ASAC (Athletic Sports Association of Cambodia), competing against leading international schools across Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. These high-level competitions provide our student-athletes with meaningful opportunities to challenge themselves, build resilience and develop international perspectives through sport.
Primary School Sport and Early Engagement
Sport at Northbridge begins in the Primary Years Programme, where students are encouraged to develop a love of physical activity and teamwork from an early age. Participation in PPAC8 events—including basketball, football, swimming, cross-country and athletics—continues to grow, reflecting the enthusiasm and commitment of our young learners.
Our after-school sports programme offers a wide range of activities designed to promote inclusion, skill development and enjoyment, supporting every child’s sporting journey regardless of ability or experience.
Hosting Regional Sporting Events
Northbridge is proud to host the annual NAE Southeast Asia Primary Games, welcoming students from Nord Anglia Education schools across Vietnam, Singapore and the Philippines. This flagship event brings together young athletes to compete in basketball, football, T-ball and athletics, celebrating friendship, teamwork and healthy competition in an international school setting.
A Holistic Approach to Sport
Through a carefully balanced approach to participation, performance and personal growth, the Northbridge sports programme inspires every student to be active, courageous and committed—both on and off the field.
