Under the theme “Intersection”, TEDx BVIS Hanoi Youth 2025 brought together students, guest speakers and members of the wider school community for an inspiring evening of ideas, storytelling and meaningful conversations.
More than a platform for sharing ideas, the event celebrated the power of student voice and provided opportunities for young people to develop confidence, leadership and critical thinking skills. Through a diverse range of talks and perspectives, TEDx BVIS Hanoi Youth encouraged participants to explore new ways of thinking and recognise how meaningful change often begins at the intersection of different experiences and viewpoints.

At the heart of this year’s TEDx event was the theme “Intersection” – the point where different paths, perspectives and experiences come together.
Throughout the evening, speakers explored how innovation, growth and transformation often emerge when people are willing to engage with new ideas and challenge familiar assumptions. Whether through education, leadership, entrepreneurship or social impact, each talk highlighted the value of embracing diverse perspectives and learning from others.
The theme served as a reminder that some of the most powerful opportunities for personal and collective growth can be found where different worlds meet.
One of the highlights of TEDx BVIS Hanoi Youth 2025 was the opportunity for BVIS Hanoi students to share their own stories and insights with the audience.
Phuong Chau brought a perspective shaped by her involvement in service learning initiatives, community projects, school productions and international volunteering experiences. Her talk reflected a strong commitment to creating positive impact and supporting others through meaningful action.

Thanh Van drew upon her experiences in student leadership, including her roles within the student council, house leadership and school event organisation. Through her talk, she explored themes of responsibility, confidence and the importance of leading with purpose.

Her presentation highlighted how young people can use their voices to inspire meaningful conversations and positive change.

Together, the student speakers demonstrated the confidence, resilience and leadership that are nurtured through a holistic educational experience at BVIS Hanoi.
Alongside the student speakers, the TEDx stage welcomed accomplished guest speakers whose personal and professional journeys offered valuable insights for the audience.
Truong Ky Tong, Founder of Nhà IELTS, author and content creator, shared perspectives on education, personal growth and the importance of lifelong learning in an ever-changing world.

To Ha Linh, Co-founder of Outsider, challenged conventional views of learning through her own experiences of overcoming academic struggles and embracing experiential learning. Her message centred on the principles of Action, Resilience and Connection, encouraging students to embrace challenges, learn through experience and build meaningful relationships.

Hoang Le Thuy Duong, winner of the UK Alumni Award for Social Impact and Ambassador for Facing The World, inspired the audience through stories of compassion, service and her work supporting children with facial differences. Her talk highlighted the importance of empathy and the impact that individuals can make within their communities.

Beyond the talks themselves, TEDx BVIS Hanoi Youth provided students with opportunities to develop essential future-ready skills, including public speaking, communication, critical thinking, collaboration and leadership.
Students played an active role in planning, organising and delivering the event, gaining valuable hands-on experience throughout the process. By taking ownership of different aspects of the programme, they strengthened their confidence, creativity and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

These experiences reflect BVIS Hanoi’s commitment to empowering students to become independent learners, confident communicators and responsible global citizens.
TEDx BVIS Hanoi Youth 2025 was more than an evening of inspiring talks. It was a celebration of curiosity, courage and the belief that every individual has the potential to contribute ideas that can make a difference.

Through the theme “Intersection”, the event encouraged meaningful dialogue around education, leadership, innovation and social impact. Most importantly, it demonstrated the power of student voice and reinforced the importance of creating opportunities for young people to share their perspectives with the world.
As the event concluded, participants left with fresh ideas, new perspectives and a renewed sense of inspiration – proof that when different voices come together, meaningful change can begin.
